Spejbl and Hurvínek on the Shelf is an exhibition devoted to the small puppets, figurines, and audio recordings that have become rare articles for a number of enthusiastic collectors due to the popularity and importance of the theater of Spejbl and Hurvínek. The exhibition has been conceived as a loose metaphor for a room displaying a collection, with its shelves for showcasing these small treasures.
In this way, visitors get to know not only the theater of Spejbl and Hurvínek itself but also the diverse types of industrial manufacturing concerned with making puppets and figurines. Therefore, you can see wooden, plaster, and even glass figurines of this famous comic duo in the exhibition. Children (but not only children) can even give the exhibition a detective story slant by setting out to follow the tracks of a missing Hurvínek, who has run away from his shelf and hidden somewhere in the museum.
