The exhibition The Secret of the Wooden Puppet in Seoul, Korea, has moved into its second half. One of the most appreciated elements of the exhibition is the guide for the youngest, which shows Korean children the most famous figures of Czech puppet theater. With the help of scissors and glue, they can transform it into their own puppet show with a little dexterity and play a fairy tale according to the attached script or let their own imagination work. The lecturers of the Chrudim Puppetry Museum and the Seoul Historical Museum also prepared a joint online workshop for children, in which both teams got acquainted with a popular fairy tale from another country through puppets.
The video features, among others:
Olga Havlíková - lecturer of the Museum of Puppet Cultures in Chrudim
Michaela Lee - Director of the Czech Center in Seoul
Tereza Nádvorníková - coordinator of the exhibition of the Museum of Puppet Cultures in Chrudim
An extensive representative exhibition of Czech puppetry, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, is being prepared by the MLK in the South Korean capital in cooperation with the Czech Centers, the Seoul Historical Museum and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul.
